| Sophia was rescued by the local Italian authorities from a man who had 12 dogs illegally kept in substandard conditions. Sophia ended up in a shelter. Incarcerated for most of her life Sophia had never learned to socialize or trust and there is a good chance she was beaten. She is petrified of everything and when a human tries to approach her, she practically collapses. | |
